A mishap that could end in tragedy. The kitesurf specialist Alex Soto, a Dominican who intensified his preparation in view of the Panamerican Games in Lima 2019, collided with a shark as he proceeded at high speed, thanks to the wind that was blowing at that moment, in the waters of Cabarete, center bathing in his country.
After losing the balance, Soto "flew" into the water but the shark did not attack it.
It also seems that the same shark was injured after being hit by the table. "But I certainly did not go to check - Soto commented - even if my table has been damaged several times". After having defined on the social media "my little tragic accident" what had happened to him, the Dominican wrote that he hopes to have a 2019 "better than 2018, and with fewer sharks in my life".
